Can I cancel the maintenance plan at any time?

Yes. Retainers run on a month-to-month basis with no lock-in contracts. You can cancel or change tiers at any time with 30 days' notice.

Do I need a maintenance plan to keep my site online?

No. Your site is deployed to edge servers and will remain online for free under Cloudflare. A maintenance plan is strictly for business owners who want ongoing help with updates, security patches, and SEO ranking reports.

What happens if I do not use my monthly update minutes?

Unused monthly update minutes do not roll over to the next month. This is standard retainer policy as it reserves my developer capacity for you each month.

What counts as a "content update"?

Content updates include text changes, image swaps, posting holiday hours, adding a new blog post you supply, updating service prices, or adding testimonials. Major structural redesigns, custom database scripts, or new integrations are billed separately at the standard ad-hoc rate.

What is the standard billing rate if I run out of minutes?

If you exceed your included minutes, additional updates are billed at a flat rate of $100 CAD / hour (minimum 30 minutes per request).

How do the automated off-site backups work?

Backups are automatically pushed to an off-site, secure cloud repository. Depending on your plan, weekly or daily snapshots of your complete website code and static database assets are stored, allowing us to restore your site instantly in a single click if needed.

How does the same-day Enterprise support emergency line work?

Enterprise clients receive a priority mobile contact number for SMS and phone calls. If an emergency occurs (like checkout failing), requests sent via this channel are guaranteed same-day troubleshooting, with an initial response and diagnostic start within 12 hours (often much sooner).

Do you maintain websites built by other developers or agencies?

No. To guarantee the high speeds, security standards, and clean code quality of my maintenance packages, I only support and maintain websites that I have personally designed and built from scratch. If you have an existing site, I can provide a quote to migrate and rebuild it on my high-performance stack first.
